Citrus picking bags that outlast canvas

If you grow citrus in Australia, you probably buy picking bags every season. Canvas bags are cheap up front, but they wear through fast, soak up water and dirt, and by the end of a big harvest most of them are heading for the bin.

We built the PC33P and PC45P to fix that.

Built for a full citrus harvest, then the next one

The PC33P and PC45P are made from heavy-duty, military-grade polyester. They're built to take rough handling, abrasion and long days in the trees, season after season. Our bags typically last four to five seasons, and sometimes more.

The harness is replaceable and washable. If a strap wears out, you replace the harness, not the whole bag.

Better protection for your fruit

The front of each bag has a reinforced PVC-coated panel. It holds the bag's shape and stops fruit being squashed against the picker's body or knocked as they move between trees. That means less bruising and lower puncture risk, which counts when you're packing for premium and export markets.

Comfortable enough for long, heavy days

A full citrus bag is heavy, and pickers carry that weight all day. Our Support+ harness spreads the load across the shoulders and back instead of dragging on the neck. Less fatigue means pickers stay productive later into the day, and fewer sore backs at the end of the week.

The quick-release rope and hook let pickers empty into the bin fast, with no fumbling with knots mid-row.

Two sizes

  • PC33P – 33 litres (1 case). A good all-rounder for most pickers.
  • PC45P – 45 litres (1.5 cases). For experienced pickers on big blocks who want fewer trips to the bin.

Both bags also suit avocados and apples, so one bag can cover more than one crop on mixed properties.

The real cost of a picking bag

A canvas bag that lasts one season isn't cheap. One Harvestwear bag can see you through four or five harvests, with less fruit damage and happier pickers along the way.
